Seven matches in February

Postby MKDF » Mon Jan 30, 2017 8:01 pm

Bolton - home
Oldham - home
Oxford - away
Bury - away
Fleetwood - home
Shrewsbury - Home
Bradford - away

Plenty of potential banana skins in that lot, including three in the top six. How many points are you hoping/expecting to get next month?

I reckon 14 points is achievable.

I don't think there are any easy games and for various reasons all of the seven teams we are due to play in February have something to play for, on our day we are capable of beating all of those sides but history says that is unlikely to happen. I would like to think we can get three wins and a draw from the four home games and two wins from the three away games, so I would say 16 points would be a reasonable return and leave us in with a chance of a play-off place, anything less and the play-offs will be looking a tall order.

Agree with what you say AC. The biggest doubt I have is the away game at Bradford - not because we fear them as a team but because of that god-awful pitch they play on. My only hope is that now Robbie and his merry men have got us super-fit we wont be playing tippy-tappy football on it and are in with a chance of getting a decent result. :D

Certainly doable if we play well.

I'll be even happier with what Robbie's doing than I am already, if we get close to averaging 2 or more points per game in February :D

No offence intended, chaps, for taking SB's target above your's. Purely as it's the lower figure, I thought that should be the one to track initially.

Let's hope that we are able to adopt your higher target later this month. ;)
