I predict a seriously dull first half.

And a not much better second half...... To their credit, I thought Northampton were well organised. played the better football and created the best chances. After all the euphoria that went with beating AFC Kingston we came back down to earth with a bump tonight. George Williams deservedly got the Dons MOTM award but good performances from our players were few and far between.

I thought Daniel Powell looked about a stone lighter and had a decent enough game, it looks as though he may have found a manager who can get the best out of him.

Well that performance came at a cost. Not only two points but also some of the goodwill built up from the AFC match.

No point in putting-in one performance every 10 matches. One more point, sure, but consistent under-performances will not warm this batch to fans.

Another month -with players returning to fitness- and we'll get a better sense of what they will deliver on this season.

I thought Powell played well. Also nervy being in the receiving end of Bowditch.

Still, they didn't score either.
