Family and friends don't want to hear us drone on about our football opinions.

This forum offers the only prospect that others will give our views even a sideways glance.

Without it, we're pointless.

We now have 5 cup finals to play and we must win 3 games to stand a chance of staying up, nothing has really changed since the OP on this thread, if anything we may even be in a better position after yesterday's results involving our rivals. It's still all to play for...

Agreed nothing much has changed, if we are brutally honest with ourselves we didn't (or shouldn't have) really expect(ed) anything from our games v Blackburn and Wigan.
Results didn't go too badly for us yesterday - it could have been much worse. Hopefully results from this crop of mid-week games also go our way;
TUESDAY
AFC v Charlton
Blackpool v Northampton
Gillingham v Blackburn
Oxford v Fleetwood
Rochdale v Wigan
WEDNESDAY
Oldham v Walsall.

Pretty sure we'll all have our eyes on the games above, after that it is up to us to get a positive result against Doncaster Rovers on Saturday, which I believe we can do.

TUESDAY
AFC 1 v Charlton 0
Blackpool 3 v Northampton 0
Gillingham 0 v Blackburn 0
Oxford 0 v Fleetwood 1
Rochdale 1 v Wigan 4
WEDNESDAY
Oldham v Walsall.

Pity about the AFC result but at least the others went as we hoped. Good to see Robbo doing his best to help us.

Yeah, Oxford United definitely aren't safe yet, assuming Bury are down, it's looking like any three from seven now..

The match tonight is even more important now. Because teams are picking up wins, there's a real possibility that the threshold for safety is creeping up, especially considering our goal difference. Most (ourselves included) could plausibly reach 52 points.

We need to be on it for each and every game.

Couldn't agree more, it is all about how well we do - and we have to do very well!

Rotherham did it at our expense in the Championship a couple of seasons ago, so we have to stay positive.

I'm not sure how I want tonight's game to map out, one thing is for sure, Oldham or Walsall (maybe both if it's a draw) will be sitting further above us by 10pm. I agree 52 points may not even be enough, but if I was offered that total now I would take it. As already said, we need to take one game at a time.

Just to outline our chances of staying up, we are currently a best priced 2/13 to be relegated and a best priced 5/1 to stay up and as the old saying goes; "the bookies aren't wrong very often"...........but they are occasionally! ;)
