Blackpool reviews....

Postby ACDon » Sun Sep 15, 2019 4:08 pm

Just home from an enjoyable weekend in sunny Blackpool. :D

Fair play to Tisdale, he started both Nombe and Kasumu again yesterday in what (on paper) was a much tougher test than last week's encounter against a poor Kingston side. Despite the comfortable score line this certainly wasn't a walk over (as confirmed in the match stats), Blackpool enjoyed large periods of possession and had the lion's share of shots at goal, they will get plenty of favourable results this season but yesterday simply wasn't their day. In all honesty in spite of all their possession and shots at goal, Lee Nicholls enjoyed a fairly quiet afternoon and wasn't really over stretched at any point. It was one of those professional performances where every player would have got a 7/10 from Me, we looked sharp, quick on the break and well organised without having much of the ball. Pity Nombe couldn't put away one of the chances he had in the second half because he deserved a goal for all the tireless running and effort he put in. Shame to hear Healey is injured, he will be a big loss if he is out for a long period.

Great to meet up with Warwickdons (snr and jnr) last night, some of the Karaoke was pure class and the dance floor was ours when a certain Andy Williams hit came on, no prizes for guessing the title of that hit ;)

Any thoughts?
