And tonight's excuse is...

Postby SwanDonOne » Tue Feb 26, 2013 9:49 pm

Half time and we're struggling against the bottom team who's most experienced player was playing for Havant & Waterlooville a few weeks ago. My prediction is that tonight's excuse will be one of the following:

1 - Portsmouth are a difficult side to break down at home
2 - We just aren't getting the rub of the green
3 - The referee gave us no protection (or some variation on a theme)
4 - Their goal was definitely offside
5 - We know we're have to up our game but we've got the ability to do it & I know these players can make the play-off's
6 - Injuries have hampered us all season

Let's see if I'm right come the final whistle. Hopefully the Dons will win 6-1 ! :o
Sometimes in football you have to score goals.

Number 6 please Sir.
The appearance of a man who stands a better than average chance of being refused entry to a happy hour.

Just not good enough, I've now seen the light. Most of the other teams above us slipping up but we can't beat pompey who are bottom- with the players we have we should be a lot higher up the league than we are- just not good enough.
The fella with the mic asked Lewie "Is there anyone in particular you'd fancy in the FA Cup?" His word for word reply.. "Some team from Kingston"

Yeah, it's so disappointing, we are capable of stuffing a Premiership side on our day, but can't beat a side who are rock bottom of league 1 (Pompey had got 5 points out of the last 63 before tonight), questions really need to be asked!

I predict it will be

* Injuries - No gleeson, martin or Bowditch plus Powell not fully fit
* Ref - Also gets the blame somehow from Robbo somehow
* Opposition - not that bad a team, quality players blah blah blah.......
