Rip Off League Fees

Postby willowtree » Sun Apr 30, 2017 5:43 pm

So if MKBCYFL can charge £30 per club no matter how many teams, eg 4 teams = £30
does anyone know why the mkddl charge more than this per team? Eg 4 teams = upto £160

Proves that there is a financial cost as well as all the other implications to playing on a Saturday?

going to have to get used to it when the DDL takeover the MKBC (according to the DDL); never a better saying than 'Be careful what you wish for'

Have been passed this information on by our club secretary, and am I reading this right ??

The DDL want clubs to vote to go onto the Border Counties, only for the DDL to put up entry fees to £25 per club and then £45 per team for U14's to U18's.

Entry fee at the Border Counties as explained above is only £30. Common sense tells the clubs that they shouldn't vote DDL in as it's not cost effective.

Also £10 per team rise for all youth teams to enter, is this serious, it's kids football. Plugging the gaps they will lose on this season's loses.

If this is correct, surely the DDL have messed up with this tactic. Cheaper to go Chiltern or John Henry.

BC's rules will have to be followed irrelevant of who sits on the committee so entry fees cannot change

Hi willowtree i'd guees that the ddl are still trying to recover the money they lost a few seasons back which resulted in their treasurer leaving. but no details of this were ever made public were they!

Madcow
you are right we were never told what happened, does anyone know?

The good thing is at the DDL meeting last night Clubs voted against increases, and question why there is an obscene amount of money being kept in the bank, its to much to be a reserve!

Give it back to the clubs in lower fees or lump sum payment, so we can give it back to the kids where it belongs.

I know what happen because l asked Berks and Buck FA. There was a police investigation, also one by the FA. It was all going on when Les Carr stepped down and Craig take over MKDDL. None of the member clubs were ever notified of what happened to there money at anytime of the investigation, and were never told of the out come. it was kept hush hush

Latest email from the DDl says they were disappointed that the clubs voted against the fee increase, tough! now please refund the clubs the money that you owe us.
By the way we dont care what other leagues charge, as we play in DDL.
lets keep pushing until we get the kids money back.
And remember DDl the clubs are in charge.
